Objective1. To verify the validity of the Cognitive Evaluation and Rehabilitation Apparatus ZM3.1 to diagnose the cognitive impairment in patients with cerebral infarction.2. To study the clinical application value of the subtests the Cognitive Evaluation and Rehabilitation Apparatus ZM3.1 in patients with cerebral infarction.Methods1. 60 patients who fulfilled with Chinese Prevention and Cure Guideline of Cerebral Vascular Disease in 2005 criteria for cerebral infarction were assessed with the scales, including Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), the Cognitive Evaluation and Rehabilitation Apparatus ZM3.1(ZM3.1), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised China (WAIS-RC), were divided into normal, mild, moderate and severe categories according the cognition scores of them.2. To statistics the amounts of normal, mild, moderate and severe categories. Taking MMSE and WAIS-RC as criterion respectively, and to work out the sensitivity and specificity of ZM3.1.3. To measure the change of orientation, memory, language, visuospatial skills, arithmetic and generalization of the patients with above 3 means.Results1. There are no significant differences in cognition screening of different cognitive impairment in patients with cerebral infarction with above 3 means (χ~2=1.99, P>0.05). Taking MMSE and WAIS-RC as criterion respectively, the sensitivity of ZM3.1 were 94.9%and 88.1%, the specificity were 95.2%and 100%.2. Between normal and cognitive impairment categories, significant differences (P<0.05) were detected in the following subtests: orientation, visuospatial, arithmetic, similarity, reasoning of ZM3.1, orientation to time, delayed recall, drawing, simple calculation of MMSE, digit span, block design, arithmetic, object assembly, arithmetic, picture arrangement of WAIS-RC.3. Among mild, moderate and severe categories, significant differences (P<0.05) were detected in the following subtests: orientation, memory, arithmetic of ZM3.1, orientation to time of MMSE, block design, arithmetic, similarity of WAIS-RC.4. In moderate/severe and mild/severe categories, significant differences (P<0.05) were detected in the ZM3.1 comprehension and similarity subtest, MMSE language subtest, WAIS-RC digit span subtest and verbal intelligence quotient.5. Significant differences were detected in ZM3.1 rehearsal, naming, visuospatial, subtest and MMSE orientation to place, drawing subtest only between mild/severe categories (P<0.05).Conclusions1. The Cognitive Evaluation and Rehabilitation Apparatus ZM3.1 is available in the diagnosis of cognitive impairments in patients with cerebral infarction.2. The most subtests of the Cognitive Evaluation and Rehabilitation Apparatus ZM3.1 can identify efficiently the character cognitive impairments in patients with cerebral infarction.
