Objecton: To establish the model of neuroses similar tohuman, and study the effect and mechanism of electro-acupuncture atBAIHUI, YINTANG point. Methods: Fifty Male adultSprague-Dawley ratswere randomly divided into 5 groups: a) Normal Group: normal rat without any treatment; b) Avoidance Group: stimulate the rat with passiveavoidancetest; c)Operation Group:Electrolytic lesion was made onbasal nuclei in the rat; d) Electro-acupuncture GroupⅠ: sametreatment as Group b),then electro-acupuncture at BAIHUI, YINTAUG Point.e) Electro-acupuncture GroupⅡ: same treatment as Group c), thenelectro-acupuncture at BAIHUI, YINTANG Point. After 14 d, observe thebehavior of rat in open-field, then, all rats were excuted andperfused sections were made for SABC immunohistochemistry, andproceeded by computed image analyzer. The number and opticdenstities of 5-HT positive cells were measured. Result: After thestimulation, the level of 5-HT in Group b) and Group c) decreasedthan normal level(p<0.05). After electro-acupuncture at BAIHUI,YINTANG Point the 5-HT in Group d) and Group e) was significantlyincreased. Conclusions: Passive avoidance test and Electrolyticlesion Could ideally produce neuroses rat model for clinicalresearch.
