OBJECTIVE To observe the linguistic function rehabilitation effect on cerebrovascular disease aphasics using the Schuell stimulus method in their early periods.METHOD Analyze 154 cases of cerebrovascular disease aphasics . 154 patients are the hospital patients in Rehabilitation Department of The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou university. 76 cases in control group were received the physical therapy , occupational therapy and internal medicine expectant, 78 cases in treat group were received the Schuell stimulus method stimulus of repeated listening, pronouncing organ's functional exercise and daily articulate training on the base of physical therapy, occupational therapy and internal medicine expectant treatment. Evaluate the linguistic function and classify the severity of aphasia on the two groups at 6 months before and after the treatment according as the CRRCAE(Chinese rehabilitation research center aphasia examination). Compare the tow groups after evaluation. Disorder classification variable data were tested by x~2-test, Classification variable data were tested by rank test, measurement data were tested by t-test.RESULTS The linguistic function recovery of treat group is much better than the control group, they showed significant difference between the two groups(t=3.58, p<0.01),the curative effect of the treat group is better than the control group, they showed significant difference between the two groups(x~2=8.68, p<0.01),the effect of the slight aphasics(CRRCAE≤15) in speech therapy and linguistic function recovery is not much better than the severe aphasics(CRRCAE>15), they did not show significant difference between the two groups(x~2=1.85,p>0.05), the effect of linguistic function recovery in early treatment group (≤14days) is much better than the delayed treatment group ( > 14days), they showed significant difference between the two groups(x~2=5.18,p<0.05), the effect of linguistic function recovery in the patients who have the educational attainments above high school is better than the patients who have the educational attainments bellow primary school, they showed significant difference between the two groups(x~2=7.702,p<0.05). Logistic regression group statistics: speech therapy , the earlier the speech therapy and the higher the educational attainments are more relective with the rehabilitation effect of the speech ability((x~2 =7.509, p =0.023).CONCLUSION The observation shows:1. Schuell stimulus method stimulus of repeated listening, pronouncing organ's exercise and daily articulate training can improve the patients' linguistic function obviously, as hearing speaking reading writing and calculation abilities.2. The earlier the speech therapy intervene (≤14days), the better the rehabilitation care effect is, conversely, the later speech therapy intervene(>14days), the worse the effect is.3. The higher the educational attainments the patients have (above high school), the better the rehabilitation effect is,conversely, the rehabilitation effect of the patients who have the educational attainments below primary school is below the mark.4. Speech therapy , the earlier the speech therapy and the higher the educational attainments are more relective with the rehabilitation effect of the speech ability.
