Objective:To evaluate the effect of Denglao Guanxin Capsules(DGC) on qualityof life of post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention(post-PCI)patients.Methods:Sixty-one post-PCI patients were enrolled and randomly divided into2 groups: one of the groups was DGC treatment group(n=31), another was simpleWestern medicine controlled group(n=30). The treatment group used threeDGCs(ginseng, pinelliae, notoginseng, et al) three times per day and 75mgclopidogrel, 100mg aspirin, 10mg atorvastatin one time per day for three months. The controlled group only used 75mg clopidogrel, 100mg aspirin, 10mgatorvastatin one time per day for three months. If enrolled patients had otherdiseases, add correspondent drugs. The following index were observed: soresof 36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)and Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ), heart function, high-sensitive C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP), serumlipid (CHOL,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C).Results: After 3 months treatment, Two groups had effect at SF-36 and SAQscores, including physical functioning(PF), role-physical(RP), bodilypain(BP), general health(GH), vitality(VT), social functioning(SF),role-emotion(RE), reported health transition(HT), and physicallimitation(PL), anginal stability(AS), anginal frequency(AF), treatmentsatisfaction(TS), disease perception(DP). Their differences had statisticalsignificance (p<0.05). The DGC group showed better sores of RP, BP, GH, SF,there were statistical differences between two groups (p<0.05). The scoresof PF, VT, RE, HT, PL, AS, AF, TS and DP were no differences between two groups. There were no differences at mental health after 3 months and between two groups(p>0.05). And two groups had effects at heart function(EF), Hs-CRP, serum lipid(CHOL,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C) after 3 months treatment. Their differences had statistical significance (p<0.05). Level of LDL-C at DGC group is lower thancontrolled group, it had statistical difference between two groups(p<0.05),and no statistical differences between two groups at heart function, Hs-CRP,CHOL, TG, HDL-C(p<0.05).Conclusions: Denglao Guanxin Capsule might be a kind of effective Chinesepatent medicine in improving quality of life of post-PCI patients, Especiallyin improving at role-physical, bodily pain, general health, social functioning. And then, Denglao Guanxin Capsule may degrade the CHD patient' s level of LDL-C,and also may have different effects in improving heart function, metabolismof serum lipid, level of Hs-CRP.
