Objective:Now the analysis of the visual quality of several kinds of people is deeply developed , but the study of people with larger pupil size is not. This research tests and analyses the contrast sensitivity of young prime with large pupil size and its influence on visual quality. On the other hand , to analyze the reason of low visual quality with the technology of wavefront aberration, in order to provide reference for enhancing their visual quality.Method:54cases with large pupil size (108eyes) were included ,they were ranged from 18 to 32 years(mean±SE:23.2±3.2years). Their pupil size under natural and scotopic condition were ranged from 5.0-5.9 mm and 6.8-8.4 mm, all their tear film function were II glass. Normal control group: 54 cases(108eyes) were included. Their pupil size under natural and scotopic condition were 2.5-4.0 mm and 4.0-5.2 mmAll the cases were measured by CS under the day,day with glare, night and night with glare conditions for 5 spacial frequencies with Optec 6500 Vision Tester. The group with large pupil size were measured the wavefront aberration in addition. Result:The peak of CSF of normal control group under the day and day with glare conditions is at 3 c/d. But under the night and night with glare conditions , the line is lower than day and day with glare. The CSF of people with large pupil size under day and day with glare at high special frequencies (12,18c/d), under the night and night with glare conditions at medium and high special frequencies (3,6,12,18c/d)were significantly lower than normal control group, the difference between them is statistically significant(P< 0.05).The wavefront aberration has no effect on CS of large pupil size group except at 1.5c/d under the day and day with glare conditions. But the features of aberration that affect CS under day with glare is less than that under day condition.Under the night and night with glare conditions, the CS was affect by several kinds of aberrations, especially the high frequency CS, and more features of aberration were high-order aberration.Conclusion:1, The CS of young prime with large pupil size were worse than normal, especially under night and night with glare conditions.2, The CS of young prime with large pupil size were affected by several kinds ofaberration, especially the high frequencies CS. |
