Trachea reconstruction is necessary after the pathological flesh trachea being excised on clinical because of tumor, narrow scar, wound, inflammation and so on. Artificial trachea is one of trachea reconstruction effective methods. Many domestic and foreign scholars have carried on massive research work to the artificial trachea, but there're still many problems not being solved. More thorough research work is needed. Mechanics analysis of one kind of artificial trachea developed by famous medicine expert Zhao Fengrui has been carried on in this paper. This kind of artificial trachea is composed of TiNi alloy net and the body tissue of the patient by burying the TiNi alloy net in the patient's body. This paper can provide theoretic reference and technical support for the design and clinical application of this kind of artificial trachea.Firstly, analysis of the characteristic and the difficulty of the questions has been taken on. The finite element method with necessary experiment is chosen to solve the questions and a finite element method software ANSYS is used.The mechanics experiment on the laminated TiNi alloy net has been carried out. The finite element solution has been carried on after the finite element model of the TiNi alloy net being established. The comparison between the experimental result and the finite element computed result has been taken on, which testified the accuracy of the finite element model.The mechanics analysis of TiNi alloy net during the process of winding up it to artificial tracheal has been carried on. Four finite element models of the TiNi alloy net with different mesh size have been established and the mechanics analysis of these four models has been taken on respectively. The relation between the mesh size and distortion and the tracheal section shape has been got by comparing the results of four models. The mechanics analysis of the TiNi alloy net artificial trachea with external forces acting on it after its transplantation has been carried on. Three kinds of typical external forces have been calculated. By the finite element analysis, the distortion characteristic and rule of the TiNi alloy net artificial trachea has been obtained.Finally, the mechanics analysis of the TiNi alloy net during the process of winding up it to artificial trachea after it being buried in the patient's body has been carried on. The conclusion that the body tissue has little influence on the distortion and the section shape of the artificial trachea can be drawn.
