Objective:With the widely use of the fixed orthodontic rectifyication technology , caries problem becomes more and more important during therapy.It was approved that the directly reason lead to caries of orthodontic patients is the remarkably increase of the mainly bacillus lead to caries.tra- -ditional precautionary method are the appropriative toothbrush and brushi- -ng and brushing method and ultrasonic cleaning,but the effect isn't perfect In light of maintain subgingival microflora balance nonnasality,we observed the effect of lactobacillus DM9811 Metabolite Metabolite on the clinical indice clinical indices and the mainly bacillus lead to caries of orthodontic patients so as to search for a biologic agents based on safe,effective and no side effects for orthodontic patients.Methods:20 cases accepted orthodontic therapy was selected. The cases were randomly divided into test group and contrast group. The gargle of lactobacillus DM9811 Metabolite was applied to the patients while pure water was applied in the contrast group with the use method of one time per a day,five milliliter and three minuteseach time, The data including clininal indices and mirobiologyical parameters was collected before and on the 20th,40th,60thday after the use of the gargle. Than use the result of the contrast group to evaluate the result of the garle of lactobacillus DM9811 Metabolite.Results:(1)Effect on the MPLI and PH results: There was a distinct reduce of MPLI on the 20th,40th,60thday(with the average results of 1.50,1.00,1.00) after treatment in test group (P<0.05)than before(with the resultsof2.50),while there was no difference in contrast group(with the results of2.50).The results of test group are all lower than those of contrast group on the 20th,40th,60thday ,the distinction is remarkable. There was a distinct increase of PH on the 20th,40th,60thday (with the average results of 7.20,7.20,7.20) (P<0.05)than before(with the results of6.80) in test group, while there was no difference in contrast group(with the results of6.80). The results of test group are all lower than those of contrast group on the 20th,40th,60thday ,the distinction is remarkable. There was a distinct discrepancy between test and contrast group(P<0.05) for both MPLI and PH.(2)Effect on the amount of the mainly bacillus lead to caries results(1) Anamorphic streptococcus :There was a distinct reduce of the mainly bacillus lead to caries after treatment(with the average results of 5.791,5.889,5.782) in test group(P<0.05)than before (with the results of6.750) on the 20th,40th,60thday,but there was no distinct difference between them; while a distinct increase happened in contrast group with the average results of 7.560,7.259,7.262) on the 20th,40th,60thday but there was no distinct difference between them (P>0.05).There was a distinct discrepancy between test and contrast group(P<0.05),but there was not remarkably discrepancy between the results of the 20th,40th,60th day . he results of test group are all lower than those of contrast group on the 20th,40th,60thday ,the distinction is remarkable. (2) Lactobacillus :There was a distinct reduce of the mainly bacillus lead to caries after treatment(with the average results of 5.291,5.5.288,5.292) in test group(P<0.05)than before (with the results of6.144) on the 20th,40th,60thday,but there was no distinct difference between them; while a distinct increase happened in contrast group with the average results of 6.330,6.326,6.323) on the 20th,40th,60thday than before (with the results of6.150)but there was no distinct difference between them (P>0.05).There was a distinct discrepancy between test and contrast group(P<0.05),but there was not remarkably discrepancy between the results of the 20th,40th,60th day . he results of test group are all lower than those of contrast group on the 20th,40th,60thday ,the distinction is remarkable. There was no assistant reaction happened during the whole experiment.Conclusion:(1)Lactobacillus DM9811 Metabolite can improve the MPLII and PH of saliva of the orthodontic patients.(2) LactobacillusDM9811 Metabolite has the function of restraining the mainly bacillus lead to caries of orthodontic patients so as to adjust the subgingival microflora balance of orthodontic patients.(3)The effect of lactobacillus DM9811 Metabolite for preventing caries is possible ,without any poisonous and assistant reaction.
