At present, depression is a common mental disease in China and all over the world. About tens of millions of patients died from this disease every year. However the pathogenesis of depression has not been found yet in recent clinical research, which made the diagnosis and therapy much difficult. The previous investigations found that there were differences in the variation of brain regions between the depressive and normal subjects. In order to provide some reference value to clinical diagnosis, this thesis has elaborated the rules of the variation of brain regions between the depressive and normal subjects from the perspective of the variation of cerebral blood flow. This thesis began with a brief introduction to basic structure and functions of human brain. The following was the physical rationale and Bio-physical mechanism of single photon emission computed tomography. For recognizing the type of depression, the system of mental questionnaire was first established on the Internet to filter out the depressive and anxiety patients who were then interviewed.GO/NOGO task was then carried out to conclude the rules of the variation of cerebral blood flow between the depressive and normal subjects in cognition task. The brain regions with the variation of cerebral blood flow between the depressive and normal subjects have been found under GO/NOGO task. Compared with the basic state, in the cognitive state when P<0.001(uncorrected), the blood flow of normal subjects in superior frontal gyrus, right frontal lobe, BA 6 and BA 8 were significantly increased, while the rCBF (regional cerebral blood flow) of temporal, superior temporal gyrus, BA 40 and BA 41 were significantly decreased. Compared with normal subjects, when P<0.001(uncorrected) there were two regions with significantly increased blood flow in depression: one was left putmen; the other was ACC. Compared with the basic state, in the cognitive state there were also some important high activation regions, such as light Parahippocampal, the right temporal lobe and BA 36.This thesis introduced the study on activation location of brain with SPECT at the end. The establishment of brain activation system provides efficient method for the research of brain activation location and the study on the rule of the variation of cerebral blood flow. |
