Study On The Index System Of Clinical Pharmacist Training

Today, clinical pharmacy has been the emphasis of hospital pharmacy. It is also a quire to hospitals ordered by the government. It is very meaningful to rational drug usage, people health and improving quality of clinical treatment of hospitals.It was late for the beginning of clinical pharmacy in our nation. And now, there are a few colleges and universities have professional clinical pharmacy education only. Actually, most of pharmacists in China only have been educated by traditional pharmacy mode. Most of them are not qualified to be clinical pharmacists partly because of lack of necessary knowledge such as clinical medicine. Based on the fact, this problem should mainly be solved by continue education for hospital pharmacists. Up to now, however, the relevant research about the index system of clinical pharmacist training has not reported to the public yet. It leads to a serious problem that the effect of clinical pharmacist training can not match the need of clinical pharmacy.Based on relevant laws and policy, this study established a index system of clinical pharmacist training exploringly by literature review, experts interview and investigation. The first class indexes of the system are Laws and Policy, Knowledge of Pharmacy, Knowledge of Clinical Medicine, English and Medicine Information. It includes 15 second class indexes and 49 third class indexes. This system is canonical, integrative, systemic and feasible. It can coach the work of clinical pharmacist training, provide help for researches of clinical pharmacist training, and foremost, improve the clinical pharmacy work in hospital.
