Objective: To review respectively the levels of serum Hepatitis B virus(HBV) markers of 157 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) in order to investigate relationship between PHC and serum HBV markers. Methods: One hundred and fifty seven cases of PHC hospitalized in Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang university from Jan, 2005 to Dec, 2005 were reviewed respectively. There were 129 normal humen selected for controls. Serum HBV markers were detected by ELISA and the data were statistical analysis. Results: The HBV total infection rate was 96. 81%(152/157)in the 157 cases of PHC with 73. 88% of HBsAg, 56. 58% of anti-HBe and 87. 89% of anti-HBc. There was a significant difference (P<0. 005) of the total infection rate between PHC and controls. The positive rates of HBeAg and anti-HBe in PHC were higher compared to controls, there was a significantly difference ( P<0. 005). There were 4 major HBV marker models in PHC: (1)HBsAg, anti-HBe, anti-HBc (8. 28%, 13/157); (2)HBsAg, anti-HBe, anti-HBc(36. 30%, 57/157) ; (4)HBsAg, anti-HBc (24. 20%, 38/157) and (5)anti -HBe, anti-HBc (13. 37%, 21/157). There was a significant difference (P<0. 005) of HBV marker models between (2) marker models and the 4 main HBV marker models. Conclusion: HBV infection is a major cause of PHC. The 4 main HBV marker models may be closely related to PHC. Among them, HBV marker models (HBsAg, anti-HBe, anti-HBc) may be the most risk factors, which may be resulted from genotype of HBV, pre-core/core regions of HBV mutation. The exactitude treatment chronic type B viral hepatitis,...
