Without appropriate action, by 2020, road traffic injuries are predicted to be the third leading contributor to the global burden of disease and injury. Our country is along with the development of the traffic, mobile turn the exaltation of degree, transportation the occurrence of the injury increases obviously.Since 1951, the dead and injured number of our country road traffic injury turns over some kind of speed ascensions by every 10 years. Since 1995, more than 70,000 peoples die from the road traffic injury every year. Every year the death tolls of the traffic accident all over 100,000, get hurt the number attain to 550,000 or so since 2001. The developed countries have actively instituted and implemented preventive measures, the death from the road traffic accident is descending year by year. Our country belongs to the medium and low income nation, couldn't copy these measures because of the mix of different vehicle is different from the devoloped country. In the research of the road traffic injury, the severity of injury is nearly correlative with circums of injury and hospital treatment.But so far there are few study come down to it. In our plan, the ISS system was first used to evaluate the injury severity in our study. To explain the relations between the injury severity, mechanism of injury, cause of injury and care before reaching a hospital, etc,and find out the related factor with the cure of the road traffic injury patients,in order to provide the foundation data and science basis to increase the rate of cure and reduce the rate of death or disability.
