| Objective: To reconstruct reasonable occlusion for the patients of infraocclusion with temporomandibular internal derangement. To discuss and analyze the clinical effect of the occlusal reconstruction treatment through the clinical and radiographic examination before and after treatment. Methods: Fourteen patients of infraocclusion which was caused by defect of dentition or excessive abrasion with temporomandibular internal derangement were choosed, transitional prosthesis were applied to hoist the occlusions. Three months later, eternal restorative treatments were carried out after the symptoms were relieved. Then after three months patients were counterchecked. Lateral tomograms of TMJ before and after the treatment were taken to observe the changes of joint space; patients were divided into two groups: anterior dics displacement with reduction group and anterior dics displacement without reduction group, the changes of CMI before and after treatment were calculated and discussed.Results:(1) After patients of anterior dics displacement with reduction group were treated with transitional occlusal splints, the changes of CMI had statistical meaning(P<0.05), meanwhile before and after eternal restorations the CMI had no statistical meaning (P>0.05). |
