| Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has become a commonly-seen disease that threatening people's life severely in these days. Radiotherapy has great importance in treating pulmonary carcinoma. In solid malignant tumors, abnormal structure and function of vessels bring about decreased supply of oxygen to tumor, malignant tumor consumes a large quantity of oxygen because it grows and metabolize quickly, so malignant tumor is often in hypoxic condition. More hypoxic the condition is, more malignant and less radiosensitive the tumor is. Otherwise, hypoxic cells can lead to the recurrence of tumor. So exploring the hypoxic extent of tumor cell can predict the effects of radiotherapy and help doctors to choose the best therapy strategy, improve the successful rate of radiotherapy. Recently, specialists attach more importance to research of hypoxic agents, for example, 99Tcm-HL91, a great number of animal experiments and preliminary clinical applications indicated that the imaging ability of 99Tcm-HL91 is superior to other hypoxic agents. It manifested higher radioactivity rations of hypoxic to normal tissues, and has no cytotoxicity. It is a new hypoxic agent which has great exploratory prospect. Objective: Patients with NSCLC were performed 99Tcm-HL91 imaging pre- and post-treatment. The purpose is to evaluate the value of 99Tcm-HL91 imaging in predicting and evaluating the radio-therapeutic effect of the NSCLC.Material and methods: Pre-treatment imaging: 35 patients with untreated... |
