The Expression And Significance Of Sialyl Lewis-X And MUC-2 In Gastric Cancinoma

ObjectiveGastric cancer is one of the most common malignant neoplasm in China.Actually the multidisciplinary therapies of gastric cancer include surgery,chemotherapy and immuntity therapy.The effect,however, has not shown a significance improvement.The main reason of death is invasion and metastasis of tumor. Sialyl Lewis-X (SleX)and Mucoprotein-2 (MUC-2) play an importmant role in the process.The Sialyl Lewis-X antigen was one of discovered structurally related to oligosaccharides structures carbohydrate antigens expressed in tumor cells and embryonic tissues recently. MUC-2 is one of Mucoproteins. SleX and MUC-2 may co-operate in the processes of leukocyte infiltration during in inflammation and mediate the adhesion of malignant cells to vascular endothelia.Now there was no report about the expression of SleX and MUC-2 to improve the tumor invasion and metastasis, we want to explore from the two factors(1) Using the technology of immunohistochemistry SP to detect the expression of SleX and MUC-2 in gastric carcinoma tissues and adjacent gastric carcinoma tissues.
