Objective: To seek an effective therapy for supracondylar fracture of the humerus (SFH) by biomechanical study and restrospective analysis. Methods: Ten embalmed children arms were taken for SFH, which were divided into five groups and fixed with tension band pin, cross pin, splint, plaster and traction. All humerus were measured for vertical force and rotated force. On the other hand, restrospective analysis on 648 cases of SFH was done on studing the therapeutic-effect and complication. Results: Tension band pin group was most stable, followed group was cross pin, traction, plaster and splint were unstable. The statistical result indicated that tension band pin provided more stability than cross... |
