Effect Of Lisea Cubeba Oil Against Disseminated Candidiasis In Mice

Objective: To observe the effect of Lisea Cubeba Oil against Disseminated Candidiasis in mice, this was evaluated by the internationally accepted critera, including survival rate and viable counts in kidney. Prolongation of survival rate and organ clearance was dependent on therapy of Lisea Cubeba Oil. The study can provide experiment data for clinical application of Lisea Cubeba Oil.Metheods : (1) Acute toxicity test: healthy male Kunming mice were used. Twenty five mice were randomized into five groups, 5 in each group. Group 1, group 2, group 3, group 4 and group 5 were dealed with intraperitoneal injection of Lisea Cubeba Oil 100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, 300 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg, 500mg/kg respectively. Each mouse was injected only once. Morbility and fatality of mice were observed in seven days. Dead mice were dissected immediately to observe the change of organs. (2) The model of systemic candidiasis in Kunming mice: ten healthy Kunming mice were used for study.
