| Objective: To investigate the expression of P53, P21WAF1/CIP1 and MDM2 in cervical cancer and valuate their correlation with HPV16 infection. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect P53, P21WAF1/CIP1, MDM2 proteins in 43 cases of cervical cancer,20 cases of CIN and 15 cases of normal control. In situ hybridization was used to detect HPV16. Results: The positive rates of HPV,P53,P21WAF1/CIP1 and MDM2 in 43 cases of cervical cancer were 46.51%(2O/43),34.88%(15/43), 30.23%(13/43), 25.58%(11/43). The positive rates of HPV,P53, P21WAF1/CIP1 and MDM2 in 20 cases of CIN were 45%(9/20),5%(l/20), 60%(12/20),15%(3/20),respectively.The positive rate of HPV in 15 cases of normal control was 6.67%, and P53, P21WAF1/CIP1,MDM2 proteins were not detected in 15 cases of normal control. The differences of HPV,P53 and P21WAF1/CIP1 among the there groups were significant(P<0.05). The difference of MDM2 expression among the there groups was not significant(P>0.05). The differences of P53, P21WAF1/CIP1, MDM2 expression were not significant in the presence or absence of HPV16 (P>0.05).The expression of P21WAF1/CIP1 was correlated with P53(P<0.05).The expression of MDM2 was not correlated with p53(P>0.05).The difference of constituent ratio of cases between the Uggur and Han nationality in cervical cancer was significant(P<0.05). Conclusions: (1)HPV 16 infection was related to cervical cancer, especially cervical cancer in Uggur nationality; (2)Expression of... |
