Backgound: Functional dyspepsia(FD) is a kind of common gastrointestinal disease,which the prevalence is very high and affect the patients' quality of life severely.However, the poorly defined multifactorial pathogenesis of dyspeptic symptoms has hampered efforts to develop effective treatments. So far,prokinetic agents has been used widely to treatment FD,but the exact effectiveness has no distinct conclusion.Objective: This review aims to determine the effectiveness and safety of four prokinetic drugs (Metoclopramide, Domperidone, Mosapride, Itopride) in patients with functional dyspepsia.Materials and Methods : Trials were located through electronic searches of the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trails(CENTRAL), MEDLINE or PUBMED, EMBASE, ISI, OVID Database,Chinese Biological Medicine database(CBMDisc), Chinese VIP Database and WANFANG database. We also handsearched the bibliographies of retrieved articles and four kinds of important journals. Two reviewers assessed the quality of studies, extracted data independently.
