Esophageal cancer is the malignant tumor of esophageal squamous epidermis and is one of the malignant tumors in alimentary tract happened frequently in human. The global average motality of esophageal cancer is 5.0/100,000. Esophageal cancer has obvious characters in geography which lies a lot on the environmental factors. Lifestyle is the most important one in environmental factors. Vitamin A, vitamin E and β-carotene accept much attention because of their unique functions therefore the relationships between them and esophageal cancer also arouse interests all over the world. Howere, the evidences are limited and controversary. Yanting county is one of the areas with high incidence of esophageal cancer in China and the prevalence of esophageal cancer has taken the first place of all the local, and shows ascending trend as decades goes by.But the researches in there are very limited. Therefore, the relationships between lifestyle, vitamin A, vitamin E , β-carotene and esophageal caner is a task worth for probing into deep.We used case-control study to discuss the relationships between between lifestyle, vitamin A, vitamin E , β-carotene and esophageal caner in Yanting.
