Study On The Anti-Aging Action Of Ant And Its Compound Preparation

The anti-aging actions of ant and its compound preparation were conducted. A lot of extraction methods were applied. These methods involved (1) decocting ants twice in distilled water with a slow fire and condensing the filtrate with a slow fire, (2) extracting ants twice in ethanol solution containing ethanol 60 percentage with refluence mode and condensing the filtrate with a slow fire, (3) decocting ants at 70℃ in distilled water and extracting them in ethanol solution containing ethanol 60 percentage with refluence mode and condensing the filtrate at 70℃. It was shown that the ant preparation extracted with the third method could increase the swim time and thymus index and reduce the level of malodehyde in liver homogenate in mice.
