OBJECTIVES:To understand the characteristics of the coping strategies of the elderly with impaired glucose regulation and the status of their subjective well-being, to explore the effects of demographical and sociological factors on the coping strategies and subjective well-being of the elderly with impaired glucose regulation, to analyze the relationship between the coping strategies of the elderly with impaired glucose regulation and their subjective well-being and to provide theoretical and practicable basis for the psychological intervention of the elderly with impaired glucose regulation.SUBJECTS and METHODSUsing group cluster sampling, totally 199 senior citizens with impaired glucose regulation from randomly selected 10 residential areas of 14 residential areas in PujunCommunity of Foshan City were chosen as the subjects of the study. The questionnaire survey was conducted using Trait Coping Strategies Questionnaire and Memorial University of Newfoudland Scale of Happiness.RESULTS:I.
