| Objective: Atherosclerosis is one of first-line factor quoting cardio-cerebral angiopathy, modern medicine has proved that main character of atherosclerosis first is lipid-depositing under intima on some artery, proliferating of smooth muscle cells and fibrous groundmass cells. Step by step all of these form atherosclerotic plaque. The change of morphosis in atherosclerotic plaque has been clear, but the mechanism has not been clarified. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has gained significant clinical effect for treating atherosclerosis according to its distinct therapy by distinguishing evidence. The project studies the effect of Yiqiyangyinruanjianhuatan decoction on atherosclerosis from experimental and clinical aspects. In the experimental study, blood-lipid and morphology of atherosclerosis model have been observed as well as MCP-1.
