Objective: Branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO) is a frequent retinal vascular abnormality and a common cause of blindness clinically. It is second only to diabetic retinopathy in the incidence. Macular edema,neovascularization(NV) and vitreous hemorrhage which caused by NV are the major complication of BRVO, especially vitreous hemorrhage is the main cause of visualloss. At present, the notable curative effect has been confirmed with laser photocoagulation to prevent and to treat NV. But the opportunity of carrying on laser photocoagulation has not been definite. This study was designed to measure the extent of retinal capillary nonperfusion(NP)and determine the visual field defect threshold aimed so as to discuss the relationship in NV with the extent of NP and visual field defect threshold, in order to provide valuable theories for laser photocoagulation for BRVO.Method: 102patients meeting eligibility criteria were enrolled in the study and accepted the following tests and treatment repectively.1 Fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA): As the standard of...
