Objective : To determine the levels of SOD,MDA and VE in maternal serum of term-pregnant and non-pregnant women to analyse the relationship between oxidative stress and normal pregnancy; and to determine the levels of three indexes above in decidua, fetal membranes and maternal serum of patients with premature rupture of membranes to clarify relationship between oxidative stress and premature rupture of membranes. It would provide new train of thought for further study of pathogeny, pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapy of premature rupture of membranes. Methods: 1 The study subjects: 60 pregnant women who had prenatal examination and delivered in the Obstetrics of the Second Hospital of HeBei Medical University were selected from September 2004 to July 2005, in which 30 patients of premature rupture of membranes (PROM) were involved, the other 30 cases were healthy term-pregnant women. Additionally, 30 cases of non-pregnant women were randomly selected in gynecological clinics when they demand healthy examination. Mean age of PROM and term-pregnant group were 22~32 and 24~31 years old, respectively; Mean weeks of gestation of...
