Objective To predict the postoperative pulmonary function of the patient with lung cancer before the operation and assess the value of quantitative CT in predicting postoperative pulmonary function with lung cancer.Material and method The normal group: 16 normal adults who examine the bellows with CT in our hospital, includes 11 men and 5 women. The age is 23 years to 69 years, mean age is 48.6±11.3 years. The patient group: 24 patients who was diagnosed lung cancer by the chest surgery of our hospital from 2005 year April to 2006 year February and prepared to be operated, includes 18 men and 6 women. The age is 22 years to 70 years, mean age is 51.4±12.3 years. The pathology confirmd after the operation is 10 for squamous carcinoma, 6 for adenocarcinoma, 1 for adeno-squamous carcinoma, 2 for alveolar cell carcinoma, 1 for anaplastic carcinoma, 1 for Neuroendocrine carcinoma, 3 for tuberculoma. 8 patients are central lung cancer, 13 patients are peripheral lung cancer. The extent ablated during the operation is: 2 for pneumonectomy,17 for lobectomy(11 for single lobes, 6 for two lobes), 2 for lobectomy and wedging, 3 for wedging. The condition for the selection of the patients is no pneumonia and no pleural effusion before and after the operation when the test was performed . scanang devic: siemens Sensation-16 multi-slice spiral CT. Test content: CT of the chest was performed before and after the operation at three condition:eupnea,breath-holding at the end of full inspiration and full expiration, pulmonary function test was performed within 2 weeks after CT scan. Repeat the test above-mentioned after two month of the operation. A postprocessing...
