Objective: To evaluate whether the age of the women with cervical carcinoma in Xinjiang Tumor Hospital was falling and analyze the clinical epidemiological value between different territory and different nationality. Methods: Clinic data of patients with cervical carcinoma in Xinjiang Tumor Hospital from June 1995 to December 2002 were reviewed respectively. The prevalence trend such as age, nationality, vocation, marriage, pregnancy, breeding, course, clinical pathological characters, diagnose, treatment was analyzed. Result: The patients were most younger than 60 years old and older than 40 years old (67.7% ). The average age was 47.A greater incidence was observed among Uygurs (80.3 % ) and presents in each region, and this was undoubtedly related to their lower socioeconomic status. Increased occurrence of cancer of cervix in women was probably related to the factors such as age at first marriage, age at first pregnancy, copiousness and multiple sexual partners. The patients who first visit are mostly diagnosed in regional hospitals which were deficiency of effective treatment(90.8%). Squamous cell carcinoma is the main pathological type. Exoginic and anabrosis are the main morphous types. The percent of stage I is 8.4%,but percent of stage II -IV is 91.6%. The percent of radiotherapy is 68.4%, and the percent of surgery is 11.3%.The regional and national difference of prevalencecharacters and pathological characters was significant (P<0.05) .And the age at diagnosis of invasive cervical cancer in Xinjiang is ascending.
