| Objective Rosacea is a dermatologic disease which severely damage the appearance of the patients and its morbidity is relatively high. It had the characteristics of attacking recurrently and seriously affectting the life quality of the patients. The etiology of the disease especially its relationship with bacterium and demodex is very clear. The frequently used drugs clinically at present had the characteristics of low compliance, serious side effect and bad therapeutic efficacy. So aimed at finding new medicine which can effectively cure the disease .we used sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate as drugs for inhibiting bacterium growth and killing demodex in vitro and evaluated its clinical value in treatment of rosacea. Methods By agar cliluent methed, The different concentration of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate was used to inhibate bacterium growth.. By the method of comparision between drug groups and control groups, a study on the experiment of killing demodex in vitro with different concentrations of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate was conducted to find proper concentration in which the compound has better powerful killing effect on demodex.80 parients with rosacea was randomly divided into control group and trial group according to the methods of randomly, single blinded and parallel controled. The 2% sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate cream group was taken as trial group and the 2% metronidazole cream group was taken as control group. The 2% sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate cream and 2% metronidazole cream was used in the morning and evening every day and continued for 8 weeks. The curative effect and adverse effect was observed. Results Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate had fine inhibiting effect to the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate had powerful killing demodex in vitro, there was significant difference between it and space sroma(p<0.01),the effect of killing demodex in vitro was superior to same concentration of metronidazole at the same time. The emulsion stability of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate was very good. The sympotom scoring, efficiency of killing acari, clearence rate and effective rate of 2% sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate cream group was better than that of 2% metronidazole cream group which showed significantly statistical difference (p<0.05) while the tolerance and incidence rate ofadverse effect of the patients had no apparent difference in the two groups. (p>0.05)Conclusion 2% sodium dodecyibenzene sulfonate had the effect of inhibiting the growth of bacterium and killing demodex in vitro and had curative effect in the treatment of rosacea. |
