Currently, the increasing of people are taking care for the lead expose of children. The main measure of preventing lead poisoning is that reducing excluding of gasoline, and we have not find the best measure of cure. So it is very important that cure low level of lead poisoning by some way.Conventional treatment have been unsuitable for the defense of children in lead poisoning. Succimer is the only chelator in the Unite States that has been solely approved for pediatric use by FDA. Studies indicate, nutrition take an important effect on treatment lead poisoning. We want to know the incidence of children lead poisoning and the impair effect of lead on children. By investigating the unite appliance of low level DM-SA and nutriments on treating the children of lead poisoning, We want to find the best treatment on children of lead poisoning.Methods1. Ethmoid of samplesSamples were collected from 408 subjects (217boys and 191girles) in the urban kindergartens. The age range of the subjects was 3-6 years. Detailed histories of all children including age, gender, educational level of parents, area of residence and whether had bad hygienic habits, disease history and were under any medication.2. Detection of index2.1 Detection of BLLs: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry - GraphiteFurnace measurement2. 2 Detection of Hb: HiCN colorimetric assay Detection of 8 - ALAD: clinic standard assay 2. 3 Detection of SOD:Xanthine Oxidase assay2.4 Detection of GSH: DTNB assay2.5 Detection of GPx: DTNB assay2. 6 Detection of plasma MDA;TBA assay3. Intervential experimentation3.1 Choice and group of intervention objectsWe enrolled 91 children with BLLs > or = 100 g/L. The children had no histories of excludability of lead.3. 2 Intervential methodWe talced children into 3 groups in a randomized, placebo - two controlled, double blind trial of up to 4 - week course of treatment with DMSA and multi -nutritional substances, and detected BLLs after each course.4. Statistical analysisSPSS10. 0 software was used to analyze the data.Results1. Result of ethmoid1.1 Result of BLLsThe rate of lead poisoning of children aged 3 — 6years in Anshan is 2 7.45% ,and the most of lead poisoning had BLLs of 100 g/L -200 g/L. BLLs of children in suburb and industrial estate were significantly higher than children in city.1, 2 Effect of BLLs on the activities of ALAD, SOD and GPxChildren with BLLs > or = 100 g/L had significantly decreased erythrocyte ALAD activities. No significant changes were observed in erythrocyte SOD and GPx activities associated with elevated BLLs in these children.1. 3 Effect of BLLs on the contents of MDA and GSHChildren with BLLs > or = 100 g/L had significantly increased plasmaMDA levels compared to the children with BLLs < 100 g/L. No significant changes were observed GSH levels associated with elevated BLLs in these children.2. Effect of different methods of treatment2.1 Comparment of BLLsAfter treatment, BLLs of combined group and nutritional group were lower than placebo group, and BLLs of combined group were lower nutritional group.2. 2 Comparement of cured numberAt the fourth week, twelvth week, cure rate of combined group was significantly higher than nutritional group. The cure rate of different periods have no differences in the same group.Conclusions1. The trend of Nutritional substances reducing BLLs is slow.2. Low level of DMSA and multi - nutritional substances reduce BLLs obviously. | Keywords/Search Tags: | 2,3 -dimercaptosuccinic acid, nutrient, lead, children | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
