Clinical Investigating On Acupuncture For Serum Leptin Level In Simple Obesity Uigur

Objective: Through investigating the effect of acupuncture on BMI, WHR, serum Leptin level and the level of hypothalamic neuropeptide Y in simple obesity Uigur patients to research the mechanism of weight-loose function of acupuncture. And to provide a principle for the practice of acupuncture in clinic. Method: we choose 30 cases of simple obesity Uigur patients as treatment group and 30 cases healthy people as control group. The treatment group was treated by electroacupuncture. Their therapeutic effects and changs of BMI, WHR, serum Leptin level and the level of hypothalamic neuropeptide Y contents before and after treatment were observed. Results: The total disease effective rate was 80%. The serum leptin level in treatment group was significantly higher than the control group. And there were significant differences in BMI WHR LEP before and after treatment (P<0.001). Acupuncture could decrease BMI, WHR, serum Leptin level. Conclusions: Acupuncture is a effective methed for reducing weight at present, and decreasing serum Leptin level is involved in acupuncture slimming mechanism.
