Clinical Study On The Effect Of The Medical Granule Of Shimingbao In Treatment Of Amblyopia

Objective:To observe the clinical and experimental effect of the Medical Granule of Shimingbao(MGS) treating Amblyopia in Children. Methods:Children whose amblyopia had been corrected were divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group. The later was treated with L-dopa via oral administration and the fomer was treated with the Medical Granule of Shimingbao. To observe the influence of the MGS on model rat fed with adenine and on exsanguine rat. Results:Through observing the 156 eyes of 88 patients of the treatment group and 188 eyes of 99 patients of the control group, six months later, we found that the primary cure rate and effective rate were 71.79% and 95.51%, respectively, the primary cure rate and effective rate of the control group were 32.41% and 80.85%. After treatment the data of P-VEP is also improved. There was significant difference between the two groups.Experimental results prove that the Medical Granule of Shimingbao can promote development of the kidney (gaining weight, reducing urine discharge ,lowering the level of BUN and robin, and promoting the level of F, T, E2, LH, T3) and restore Hb and RBC in model rat with excessive loss of blood(p<0.01, 0.05). Conclusions:The results indicate that it is much better to treat amblyopia with MGS than with L-dopa via oral administration .The curative effect of MGS is proved clinically and experimentally with great reliability.
