The Clinic Study On Xiao Er Ding FengTang Ji Treating Tonic-clonic Seizures Of Epilepsy Of Childhood

Objective:In the light of the research in the effective treated epileptic syndromes that "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji"can do with , various evaluable standards on curative effect is used one by one to evaluate and compare the different effects that "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji", "Kang Xian capsule" and "Xi Feng capsule"treate epilepsy of childhood in order to defmituding the clinical value for "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji" and looking for a more objective and more general evaluable standard on the curative effect that Chinese traditional medicine treats epilepsy of childhood.Methods:This clinical research is divided into two parts.Part one: Applying "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji"to 60 children patients of primary epilepsy. Six months is a course of treatment.After two courses of treatment,comparing the index after treatment with that before treatment,definituding the chief effect and safety,and analysing the relationship between the type of epilepsy and the effect.Part two: Dividing 90 children patients of tonic-clonic seizures (syndromes of hot-phlegm with fright)into three groups (each group including 30 children patients) freely and parallelly. Applying "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji","Kang Xian capsule"and"Xi Feng capsule"to the three groups respectively. Six months is a course of treatment.After two courses of treatment,comparing the index after treatment with that before treatment, using various evaluable standards on curative effect one by one to evaluate and compare the different effects of the three prescriptions,and contrast the clinical value of each evaluable standard on the curative effect.Results:As far as the epileptic classification in Chinese traditional medicine,the effect of"Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji "is more obvious in the syndromes of hot-phlegm withfright and in the syndromes of wind-phlegm blockage than in the syndromes ofphlegm blockage with reversed flowing of qi.The effect is not obvious in thesyndromes of phlegm-blood blockage.As far as the epileptic classification in Modern Medicine , the effect of "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji"is more obvious in the tonic-clonic seizures and psychic seizures than in the local seizures.Applying the four evaluable standards to the effects of the three prescriptions shows that the indexes is more complete and the difference of the three prescriptions ameliorative different indexes is more obvious by the hypothetical evaluable standard than by the others.The results valued by the hypothetical evaluable standard as follows:The biomedicinal indexes: the difference of the effect on lessening frequency is not obvious among the three prescriptions; the effect on shortenning the seizure duration is much better by "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji"and by "Xi Feng capsule"than by "Kang Xian capsule";the abnormal epileptic EEG has been great improved and there is not a significant difference among the three groups.The indexes of syndromes about Chinese medicine: the effect on improving the abnormal syndromes , tongue and pulse is much better by "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji" than by "Kang Xian capsule" and by "Xi Feng capsule".The indexes of cognitive function and life quality: the effect on improving intelligence quotient and learning achievement is much better by "Xi Feng capsule" than by "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji" and by "Kang Xian capsule";the effective rates of the improvement on life quality reach respectively for 86.67% (the group of "Xiao Er Ding Feng Tang Ji") ,73.33% (the group of "Kang Xian capsule") ,80.00% (the group of "Xi Feng capsule") ,there is not a significant difference among the three groups.
