| Leukemia is a malignancy with the clonal expansion of hematopoietic progenitor cells. The cloning leukemia cell lost their ability of grown up and stagnate in the different stages of cell growth. The incidence rate of leukemia in our country is 2.76/100 thousand. The incidence rate of acute myelogenous leukemia(AML) is the first in all sorts of leukemia(1.62/100,000). The AML patients without treatment only have 3 month survival time. Chemotherapy makes many patiens gotten response of disease and have a long survival time. It is the most importance in the treatment of leukemia to increase complete response(CR) and survival, and decrease the complications of treatment. 4-idarubicin(IDA) is the ramification of daunorubicin(DNA) , whose hydrogen atom replaced the methoxyl on the D circle of DNR ligand. The lipophilicify of IDA was strengthen through this simple structure diversify. The tumor cell uptake durgs more; and it's cytotoxic effect is decreased. The permeability of cellular membrane is increased because of its liposolubility, so leukemia cells mechanism of multidrug resistance was resisted. IDA inhibited the extension , copy and transcription of DNA strains, and cause the death of cells.The IDA can also inhibit the activity of TOPO II, and have an effect on the repair of impaired DNA. And it also cause the split of DNA , and enhance cytotoxic effect.
