Experimental Studies On Standardized Processing Condition Of Semen Euphorbiae

Objective: To establish the suitable quality standards of Semen Euphorbiae and Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratum, carrying out the studies on standardized processing condition of Semen Euphorbiae.Methods: First, compare the seed, kernel and testa of Semen Euphorbiae basing on the quality indexes of fatty oil, water extract, ethanol extract, esculetine and LD50 to evaluate whether to get rid of testa; then, optimize the processing technique of baking method and steaming method by orthogonal experimental design, and prepare Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratum by mini-grinding method after diluting with amylum basing on the two optimized conditions, compared the above-mentioned quality indexes with those obtained directly by diluting crude Semen Euphorbiae with amylum to obtain the optimum technique for processing condition of Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratum. Next, using small insteine movement method to investigate the purgative action in mice and diuresis metabolic cages method to investigate the uretic effect in rats to validate the optimum processing technique of Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratum. Last,determine the contents of fatty oil,water extract, ethanol extract and esculetine and examine water content, total ash, acid-insoluble ash of 10 batches of crude Semen Euphorbiae and processed Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratum, furthermore, observation on testa surface by scanning electron microscope and determination of pesticide residue and heavy metals were assayed in crude Semen Euphorbiae in Henan which as the principal place of production.
