Clinical Study On End-stage Renal Disease And Effect On Plasma MDA In Treated With Yiqi Huoxue Decoction

Objective:In the study,the TCM theories of treatment according to syndrome differentiation were used to probe into the etiology,pathogenesis, management method and prescription of end-stage renal disease(ESRD),and to find out the efficient way of treating ESRD.Based on years of clinical experiences,my tutor proposed that the main mechanism of end-stage renal disease is deficiency Qi and Yin of spleen and kidney,combined with damp, toxin and blood stagnation. So invigorating and tonifying kidney,nourishing Qi and Yin,assisted with dispersing dampness and toxin,and removing stagnation is proposed as the main treatment principles of it.Guided by these principles,we made up a prescription of medical herbs named Yiqi Huoxue decoction(YHD) and observed its results from clinical investigation, methods: we divide 60 patients of ESRD into YHD group .western medicine(BaoShenKang) control group at random,each group has 30 patients.In the two groups,the clinical symptoms and the change of BUN,SCr,RBC,Hb,HCT in blood before and after treatment are observed respectively,at the same time,we monitor the MDA in blood of the YHD group,comparing it with normal blood donors group.Results:From the results of clinical research ,We can see that YHD can not only alleviate symptoms of the patients effectively,but also improve anemia and preserve residul renal function dramatically.The total efficiency is 86.7% which is better than the control group (46.7%) significantly.YHD can also cut down the concentration of MDA in the blood obviously. Conclusion: According to the results,we can conclude that YHD is an efficient recipe for ESRD by preserving residul renal function and improving life quality of patients effectively.The therapeutic mechanism may have much to do with the regulation of immunity,improvement of the blood circulation in kidney , descendent of MDA in blood and restraining damnification of oxidative stress.
