Research On Powder For Treating Cold Limbs (Sini San) And Its Associated Prescriptions

The thesis explores the origin and development of Powder for Treating Cold Limbs(SiniSan),and sums up its clinical applications. On the base of that we define the concept of associated prescriptions, having searched 128 medical books through the ages such as Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies, Prescriptions of the Peaceful Benevolent Dispensary, Universal Prescriptions, etc. We select 456 prescriptions which are similar to Powder for Treating Cold Limbs(Sini San) in drugs and compatibility and basic functions as its associated ones. Then sort them into 12 types according to their functions, and enumerate 40 ones of them as representative prescriptions. Though the associated prescriptions constantly change, these changes base on the basic drugs such as Chai Hu ,Shao Yao and Gan Cao ;base on regulating liver's functions ,tonifying liver structure and protecting liver against changing; having liver-qi stagnation as its main diagnosis and treatment.The thesis makes a systematical analysis on Powder for Treating Cold Limbs(Sini San) and its Associated Prescriptions so as to master the changing law of them, expand their application range, improve the ability of selecting set prescriptions and creating new prescriptions.
