Objective To explore the pathogeny, pathogenesis, differentialdiagnosis and treatment.of fascial fat hernia in lumbosacral region, and torecognize the disease further. Method Thirty-one patients with lumbosacralfascia hernia were carefully observed from October 2002 to May 2004. Theauthor investigate the possible pathogeny and pathogenesis by rate andproportion. The study introduced the self-control study and statistics method tocompare the difference of effective rate & clinical heal rate between injectionof local anesthesia and surgical treatment. Result The proportion ofinjury(trauma and chronic strain) is 48.4%, injury& obesity 35.5%, obesity9.7%, others 6.4%. The effective rate's comparison of injection of anesthesiaand surgery isχ~2=0.35< 3.84, α=0.05 ν=1 P>0.05. The clinical healingrate's comparison of them is χ~2= 45.05> 3.84,α=0.05 ν=1 P<0.05.Conclusion it is the main possible cause that the injury result in thelumbosacral fascia avulsion, The obesity and fascia feebleness aggravate therisk of hernia. There is no statistics meaning in the difference of short-termeffective rate between surgical treatment and injection of local anesthesia inshort time. The clinical healing rate of surgical treatment is obviously betterthan that of injection of local anesthesia. The surgery has clinical practicalmeanings as its simple manipulations, lack of complications, and lower cost.
