In the past DSA is thought the gold standard of the diagnosis of atherosclerosis besides the typical clinical manifestation, but the method is traumatogenic, and easily cause the complications and is expensive. Nontranmatic evaluation of atherosclerosis is always the interested lesson in clinical medicine. Color Doppler Ultrasonography is one of the methods for nontranmatic evaluation of atherosclerosis which have increasingly suffered the clinical acknowledgement along with the progress of technique. To observe the color duplex ultrasonography of legs artery in patients with hyperlipemia and control cases in this research. To investigate the relationship between hyperlipemia and atherosclerosis and the diagnostic value of color duplex ultrasonography in atherosclerosis . Materials and methods 30 patients with hyperlipemia and 30 age matched subjects without hyperlipemia as control group were included. All subjects were detected by GRE Vivid Seven system ultrasonograpic machine with 12 MHZ transducer. The subjects were first in the resupination and then in the ventral decubitus, we viewed the Iliac Artery,Femoral artery Anterior,Tibial Artery ,Dorsalis TIbial Artery,Poplited Artery and Posterior Tibial Artery.All subjects'underwent 2D-echo,color and poppler study. Results and discussion This study 's result expresses that compared with control subject, the hyperlipemia patients hada significantly serious results in IMT's thick degree,or the number of every kind of spots. The reason is that hyperlipemia can cause endotheliocyte's injury and shedding that coan lead to the vascular permeability to go up and plasma proteins to go into intima. And then lend to macrophage's eliminating reaction and SMC's hyperplasia and block's form. Secondly, the balance's maladjustment theory of high lipoprotein and light lipoprotern is also the reason. We can classify sclerosis of legs artery: flat,spot,soft spot,forcibly spot,mixed spot, whose character is consistency with the character of pathology's change. Fat grain is forepart pathological change of atherosclerosis which is flat spot in 2D-image.Fibrous plaque is soft spot in 2D-image. Atheromatous plaque is forcibly spot in 2D-image. Combined thrombosis is mixed spot in 2D-image. At the same time, we can conclude the sclerosis spot's distributing character of hyperplasia patients through the 2D-image of atherosclerosis of legs artery.
