Through observing Clinically its influence on bone mineral density(BMD), Estradiol (E2), Calcium / Creatinine (Ca/Cr), Hydroxyproline / Creatinine (Hop/Cr), Alkaline Phosphatase(ALP), Osteocalcin (BGP); the clinical sysptoms evaluation and the quality of life of the patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO), this study aims to evaluate the clinical curative effects of postmenopausal osteoporsis through point Thread Embedding and Auricular Point Tapping and Pressing. According to the basic theories of the traditional Chinese medicine and the Clinical feature of PMO, this study holds that PMO is mainly due to kidney difficiency and also spleen difficiency and blood stasis. It's pathogenesis is difficency of spleen and kidney, obstruction of blood stasis and loss of nourishment of the bones. The therapeutic principle is to tonify kidney for strengthening the bones; to tonify the spleen and vigorate qi; to promote the blood circulation for removing stasis. 40 patients with PMO get good curative effects after treating with the corresponding prescriptions and treating methods. The result is better than the patients treated with Estriol. The modern medicine does not know the causes of PMO completely and thinks that the disorder of endocrine and the lowered level of the estrogen after the menopause are the main reasons. This therapeutic method can improve the level of internal estrogen and the bone metabolism, increase the bone density, lessen the clinical sysptoms, improve the life quality of the PMO patients and avoid the side effects caused by using the external estrogen for a long time such as bleeding of vagina, distending pain of breasts; and thus provides a new way for treating PMO in the Clinic.
