| Objective To evaluate a persen's growth and development ,skeletal age acted as abiological age of human is a more precise indicator.By X-ray measurement,on many pairs of knee joints ankle joints and hand-wrist bones,compared with development and other related biological indicators.we can understand the change in growth nad epiphysis-diaphysis fusion of adolescent and provide reliable data for skeletal age of children and youths.Meanwhile,we can also provide new data for physical anthropology and forensic medicine.On the other hand,these data can be significant for the clinical dignosis and treatment of microsomia teenagers.Materials The materials for the study were obtained randomly from 693teenagers(including male 298 and female 395) in zone of Gao Mi,Shan Dong province.They were all Han people and proved to be normal by healthy examination,without bone fracture.Their age varied from 9-20 years old. They were devided into 12 groups according to the their real age(for example, 10 years old group is from 10.00 to 10.99 years old). The subjects were routinely exposed to X-ray. We took the posterior- antero projection of double hand-wrist bones posterior- antero projection of double knee joints and posterior- antero projection of double ankle joints. The IP plate were chosen according to the different positions. All radiographs were taken with the standard radiographic technique from 95 cm distance, 60 KV, 200mA,0.01s(keen joints),55KV,200mA,0.06s(anklejoints)and50KV,200mA,0.01 s(hand-wrist bones). We obtained 1386 hand-wrist bone radiographs 1386 knee joints radiographs and 1386 ankle joints radiographs.At the same time menarche abut female was questionaired.
