Objective: It is hotspot to study the effect of diagnostic ultrasound on apoptosis and ultrastructure in special tissue. But whether the apoptosis and change of the ultrastructure could have an effect on the fetuses' function of the brain is not clear yet. To study whether the diagnostic color Doppler ultrasound could have an effect to the rat fetus when rats in late trimester were exposed to diagnostic color Doppler ultrasound, and provide new evidence of the safety of CDUS application. Methods: Late-pregnancy rat models were established by observing vaginal plug and vital sperms, assisted by examining the size of embryo. The pregnant rats in late trimester (18 days) were exposed to diagnostic color Doppler ultrasound (Acuson Sequoia-512, transducer 4V1, 3.0MHz, MI=1.6,Tis=1.8) with four groups: 10 min, 20 min, 30 min and control group. After the rat fetuses were born and they were 20 days and 2 months old, the learning and memorizing abilities of them were estimated via Morris water maze test. And the scores of the inner annulusand the first quadrant swimming time the rat fetuses got in Morris water maze test were analyzed with spss 11.0Results: There was significant differences in the scores of the inner annulus(0.1193±0.0810) and the first quadrant swimming time(0.5233± 0.1375 )that got in Morris water maze between the 30 min group and the...
