Objective: To analyze the indications, contraindications, operative technique and postoperative complications of artificial hip joint arthroplasty, types of prosthesis and fixation methods.Methods: Follow up our hospital patients who were treated with artificial hip joint arthroplasty from Jan, 1992- Mar,2002 (time ranging over 5 years and7 months )and the postoperative results evaluated with Harris grade standard .Results: In 310 cases , 6 died of various deseases or other causes (mortality 1.93% ); 23 received secondary arthroplasty( revision rate 6.33%)。 In the other 281eases , preoperative score averaged to 53 and postoperative score 88 ( "fair" rateConclusion: The clinical results of artificial hip joint arthroplasty were quite dependable. Strictly appraising the operative indications, standardizing the operative processes, completing the postoperative rehabilitation plan, effectively preventing out of the postoperative complications as well as improving the designs of the prosthesis and instruments will remarkably improve the clinical results of artificial hip joint arthroplasty。...
