| Objective: To research expression of telomerase hTERT,estrogenreceptors(ER),Progesterone receptors(PR) protein in lung cancer and benignlesions. To study the role of telomerase, estrogen receptors progesteronereceptors in pathogenesis and progression of lung cancer and the relationamong them and the relation to histological grade cell type TNM Stage lymphnode metastasis in lung cancer. Merthods: Telomerase hTERT,ER,PR protein were measured in 61lung cancer and 15 benign lesion by immunohistochemicalstaining(s-pmethod). Results were compared with clinical pathologicalfeatare. Results: Telomerase hTERTprotein was present in 40 of 61(65.6%)tumors and only 3 of 15(20.0%)in benign lesions tissue (p<0.01) The ER andPR protein were present in 36 of 61(59.0%) and 40 of 61 (65.6%) lung cancerrespectively. The positive rate of expression of hTERT, ER, PR protein inlung neoplasms was markedly higher than that in benign lesionstissue(p<0.01). No signiticant correlation between cell type, differentiationdegree, staging, telomerase hTERT ,ER,PR was found. The expression oftelomerase hTERT protein was associated with lymph nodesmetastasis(p<0.05).There are no significant correlation between expressiontelomerase ,ER, PR protein in lung neoplasms( p>0.05);There is significantcorrelation between expression of ER PR protein in lung neoplasms (p<0.05). Conclusion: Telomerase action is a universal event in different TNMstage, cell type and differentiation; Telomerase presents high expression inlung cancer and low expression in benign lesions tissue. It suggests thattelomerase may be an useful diagnostic marker of lung cancer; There are nosignificant correlation between telomerase,ER,PR. Multiple genes may beinvolved in the pathogenesis of lung cancer. |
