Clinical Study Of XianYu Decoction Of Cure On Medium Or Late Stage Lung Cancer

Then we discussed the basic and significance of theresearch.Part â…¡ Clinical StudyObjective:To obsever the therapeutic efficacy of XianYu Decoction in treating medium or late stage lung cancer.Methods:60 patients with stage â…¢-â…£ lung cancer were divided randomly into two groups.In Group A(as a treated group),40 patients were treated with XianYu Decoction alone.In Group B(as a controlled group),20 patients were treated with Pinxiao Capsule alone.The therapeutic efficancy of the two groups were evaluated after one course of treatment.Observe part of the clinical check-up indexes periodically,for example,blood shapes,liver and kidney functiong,immune function and the changes of tumors,and use Functional Assessment of Cancer Threapy-Lung (FACT-L) to evaluate the quality of life. Results: The Group A had a better effect in the remission of symptoms such as cough, hemoptysis. polypnea,debility than Group B (P<0.05) there was no significant difference between Group A and Group B in the remission of symptoms such as febrility,pectoralgia(p>0.05) . Two group have no significant difference in stabilize the tumor(P>0.05). Furthermore, comparing with the controlled group the alterations of RBC, HGB, ALT and AST had statistical difference(P<0.05 orP<0.01);The complete and partial remission rate of Group A was lower than that of Group B.But no significance in statistics (P>0.05), XianYu Decoction could increase the percentage of NKC ,LBT and CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ in T-lymphocyte subcategory statistically while the percentage of NKC ,LBT and CD 3+,CD4+ , CD4+/CD8+ in T-lymphocyte subcategory in Group B was not significant. XianYu Decoction could discrease the percentage of CD8+ in T-lymphocyte subcategory statistically while the percentage of CD in T-lymphocyte subcategory in Group B was not significant. There was significant difference in increasing the weight and in the Karnofsky score between the treated and the controlled group(P<0.05).And XianYu Decoction could elevate the patient's Quality of life(QOL). Comparing with the controlled group the alterations of the scores in the body condition, fuctional condition modules had statistical difference(P<0.01).
