Formulae compatibility theory of TCM have come forth a long process including phase of compatibibility theory on drug properties(four natures and five flavours , effects of lifting,lowering,floating and sinking, channel tropism, etc.), phase of combined compatibility, phase of formulae compatibility. Through sensibility cognition to rational cognition,the theory reached a relative high concept and level.Theory of formulae compatibility is cognition and generalization in higher level of methods and laws of compatibility.It has great significance to guide clinical use of formulae and promote the development of formula-ology.This paper discussed primarily the theory of formulae compatibility from five species: seven different combination, compatibility according to drug properties, combined compatibility,"monarch, minister, adjuvant, dispatcher", compatibility according to therapeutic method including compatibility of two different methods which belongs to "eight therapeutic method:s",compatibility according to five-element theory and compatibility relative to other special therapeutic methods.The second part of the paper stated design and realization the database query system.This query system was located in a mini-system.Considering of its expansibility and easy-to-maintain and net application system model which is at present used widely,we chose a Dbserver/Webserver/Browser structure as well as Access database and Windows2000+dreamwe?ver and Windows2000+IIS5.0 +Access.
