| Objective To analysis the common causes of misdiagnosis of uterine sarcoma and to decrease the rate of misdiagnosis . Methods The clinical datum of 51 cases of uterine sarcoma in our hospital were studied retrospectively. All the patients were divided into two groups, There were 36 cases (groupâ… )diagnosed in error and 15 cases (groupâ…¡)diagnosed correctly at their first operations. Their ages, clinical representations, pathologic types, surgery treatments, and the second operations were compared between the two groups. Results 1) The rate of misdiagnosis was 70.6%, especially which of leiomyosarcoma was the highest (85.2%)and which of Malignant mullerian mixed tumor is the lowest.(36.4%). 2) The median ages of groupâ… were lower than those of groupâ…¡and there were premenopausal women in major in groupâ… and groupâ…¡was composed of postmenopausal patients. Among three major pathologic types, patiens with Malignant mullerian mixed tumor are eldest commonly. 3) Abnormal vaginal bleeding was the main symptom of uterine sarcoma (62.7%). 4) In groupâ… , 27 patiens didn't receive according detects. 5) In groupâ… , there were 22 cases operated irrationally, of which 5 cases were reoperated in a short term. Conclusions The uncommon incidence of uterine sarcoma, the nonspecific representations and doctors' neglecting are the major causes of misdiagnosis. |
