[Objectives] : To investigate the cervical stability pre-and pro- operation of posterior cervical vertebrae surgery including C3-7 laminectomy and C3-7 single/double open-door laminoplasty with spinal cord probing and compare the stability with each other.[Methods] :1. To select the patients with the normal degree of stability who were operated on with cervical vertebrae surgery including C3-7 laminectomy and C3-7 single/double open-door laminoplasty with spinal cord probing. They all had dynamic roentgenographic films preoperation and prooperation after 1-4 years, measured the angle of the according segment, and achieved the statistical analysis.2. To measure the angle which composed of terminal plates of C2/3 to C7/T1, added the angle of procurvation and retroflexion each segment to get the extension of the intervertebral space and compare the change with them.3. Each of the intervetebral angle pre-and prooperation use t-testing and the cases of the disability prooperation in two groups use X2-testing in statistics.[Results] : 1.We measured the angles of each intervertebrae pre-and prooperation dynamicroentgenography, the mean and standard deviation as follows (TABLE1). TABLE 1 The mean and standard deviation of the angles of each intervertebraeAfter statistical analysis, we found p>0.05 with t-testing, it was testified that there was no obvious deference in each angle of C2/3-C6/7 intervertebrae between pre-and prooperation with laminectomy.2. The number of instability prooperation: 3 in 31 of laminectomy; 1 in 32 of laminoplasty. The rate of instability prooperation between two groups with X2-testing was as follows(TABLE2):The result of instability rate prooperation between two groups with X2-testing was p>0.05, we concluded that there was no obvious difference between C3-7 laminectomy and laminoplasty. [Conclusions] :1. We found the cervical vertebral stability did not decrease obviously post-operation with C3-7 laminectomy, which certificated that we should regard cervical vertebrae -. circumvertebral ligament and muscle and effective extra-fixations conscious self-defences adhesion of scar and bone-fusion as a whole.2. The cervical vertebral stability increased evidently post-operation with C3-7 single/double open-door laminoplasty with spinal cord probing because of the disadvantage compensatory instability of the cervical vertebrae in C2/3 and C7/T1.3. The patients selected in this investigation based on normal cervical vertebral stability, we did not adopt the patients with preoperation instability who got well stability post-operation with C3-7 single/double open-door laminoplasty and who did not got well stability with C3-7 laminectomy. |
