Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea With Jiaweiwenjing Decoction

To observe the effect of Jiaweiwenjing (JWWJ) decoction to treat Primary Dysmenorrhea(PD) and to explore PD's mechanism. 63 patients were divided randomly into treatment group (33 cases, treated with JWWJ decoction)and control group(30 cases, treated with Shaofuzhuyu decoction). Before and after treatment, the clinical symptoms, serum estradiol(E2) progesterone(P), serum prostaglandinF2α(PGF2α), menstruation PGF2?. the blood supply of uterus and the flow of blood were observed. All the result were compared between the patients and normal people(20 cases). The near recoverable and remarkable rate of the treatment group was 75.76%, while that of the control group was 63.33%. But the difference was not significant(P > 0.05). The far recoverable and remarkable rate of the treatment group was72.73%, while that of the control group was 43.33%. The difference was significant(P<0.05). Compared with the normal people, the density of PGF2?was high in menstruation. E2 was high and P was low in luteum final phase. Blood force of resistance in uterine artery heightened before menstruation. Blood condensed highly. After treatment all the detected items and the symptoms had been improved, especially E2, menstruation PGF2α,of the treatment group were near to that of the normal group. Menstruation PGF2α is high and blood condense highly in the patients. The possible reason is high E2 and low P in luteum final phase. JWWJ decoction adjust E2 even effectively.
