Objective: In order to provide scientific evidences for controlling and decreasing occupational injury greatly by investigating distributive feather, occurrence law, risk factors of occupational injury in a non-ferrous metal company. Methods: By epidemic retrospective study, we have investigated the occurrence and distributive law of occupational injury from 1980 to 1999 in a non-ferrous metal company. Results: Amount of occupational injury was 3831,inclding 3000 in mine, 831 in factory; male: 3592,femle: 239;light injure: 3630, heavy injure: 104,dead: 57 in a non-ferrous metal company from 1980 to 1999. There was seasonal feather of distribution of occupational injury. There was not natural concentrative trend of occupational injury. According to hours, there are obvious concentrative trend, which occurrence rate of occupation injury from ten to eleven was significantly higher than any other hour using circle distribution test. According to population, occurrence rate of occupation injury in population from 20 to 30, particularly from 20 to 25 that took up forty percent was significantly higher than any other population. According to work age, occurrence rate of occupation injury in population whose work ages were from 1 to 10,particularly from 1 to 5 was significantly higher than any other population. Workers' age of light injury was different from that of heavy injury (Z=-2.184,P=:0.029). Occupational injury was positively correlative with worker's age (r=0.041,P=0.011). Occupational injury was mainly among puncher, miner, benchwork, lifter and pillar worker. Hand, foot, head, limbs, legs, eyes, ears, mouth, noses, throat were easily injure usually by knock, vehicle and drop. Conclusion: Occurrence rate of occupational injury decreased gradually by synthetic intervention. Occupational injury may be protected and controlled in a non-ferrous metal company. Survey showed that there was seasonal feature of distribution occupational injury and obvious concentrative hour point, which existed in mid-duty. Low work age and young workers are easy to occur occupational injury. Heavy injury and dead are positively correlative with ages. Occupational injury was easy to occur in hand and foot which were in the form of fracture and bruise by knock and vehicle. All the result indicated that prophylaxis of occupational injury should be synthesis including "four E" in high-risk population, high-risk hours and high-risk areas. Prophetic education should be carried out in all the workers especially in high-risk population. It is necessary to strengthen administration and improve self-safeguard.
