Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of high resolution CT(HRCT)in detecting pulmonary lesions of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). Materials and Methods Pulmonary HRCT images in 34 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus were analyzed retrospectively.Results The most frequent abnormality on HRCT of the lungs was pleural thickening in the group of 20 SLE patients without respiratory symptoms,the most frequent abnormality on HRCT of the lungs was bronchial wall thickening in the group of 14 SLE patients with respiratory symptoms. Statistic analysis between the two groups were as follows:bronchiectasis,P=0.555; bronchial wall thickening, P=0.009; thickened interlobular septa,P=0.296 ; subpleural line,P=0.477 ; ground glass opacification,P=080.Conclusion HRCT plays an important role in the SLE patients,especially in the patients without respiratory symptoms.
