Determination Of SIgE, ECP And Its Application For Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment In Children With CVA

Objective: Determine sIgE and ECP, and evaluate its application of Chinese medicine treatment in children with CVA. The curative effects of Chinese medicine treatment for CVA children were studied. Methods: 1) 85 children with allergic illness was divided into two groups, the older (7-15 years) and the younger ( 3-6 years). And there were 30 children with typical asthma and 23 children with CVA in the groups. 2) With Pharmacia CAP system, 22 kinds of sIgE for all patients were measured, both ECP for the children with typical asthma and ECP for the CVA children before and after Chinese Medicine treatment was done, too. 3) According to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory of clearing lung , relieving cough and consolidating constitution, we use Chinese medicine to treat CVA children. 4) This sIgE and ECP data was analyzed with SPSS 10.0 software.Results: In Shanxi region, some main positive sIgE for children with allergic illness is house dust mite, house dust, artemisia pollen, tobacco mould, egg white, milk, peanut and soybean. The older children is mainly house dust mite, house dust, artemisia pollen and tobacco mould, and the younger children is mainly house dust mite, egg white,milk, peanut and soybean. ECP (14.94±16.07 u g/L) before treatment of CVA children is higher than that of normal children (P=0.045), andlower than ECP (26.44 ± 24.99 u g/L) of typical asthma attacks (P=0.033). ECP level after treatment of CVA children decreased obviously to normal level(7.81 u g/L). Curative effects of Chinesemedicine treatment for CVA children are much better.Conclusion: Allergic illness is relative to extrinsic allergens. In Shanxiregion, some main positive allergens is house dust mite, house dust,artemisia pollen, tobacco mould, egg white, milk, peanut and soybean.CVA of children is an allergic illness, and a rate of its positive slgE ishigher. ECP level is as one of criterion to evaluate Chinese medicinetreatment in children with CVA. With the treatment, the immunity ofCVA children is enhanced wholly, and a rate of their CVA attack ismuch lower.
